Legal Responsibilities

All holders of an account at the DP laboratory at Aalborg University, employees, students or guests, must respect: 
The regulations for "Responsible use of computer systems" concerning use of computers at AAU
The Local Regulations at the Department of Computer Science
The Local Regulations of DP laboratory


Resources Available For DP Lab Users

When an account is created, the new user gains access to Windows or/and Linux computers in the DP laboratory and their resources.

Some of the resources on Windows machines:
Home directories: Users are encouraged to use their Unix home directories for storing personal data. The directories are shared using Samba and can be mounted on Windows machines. For more information see Mounting UNIX drives on a Windows host.
Temporary storage: Users are allowed to use disk space under directories "C:\Temp\" on every machine for a temporary storage. Note that any files in the directories may be viewed, edited or removed by other users or by a system administrator without notice.
CD-RW: All users are allowed to use a CD-RW drive installed on DIM4 for burning their personal data to CDs.
